Comment on: free grant for personal needs that dont cost to get

Curious to know how these personal grants work and what the criteria are for them.
I am currently an undergrad student hoping to pursue a degree in the medical line.
Would love to get some feedback on how I may go about applying for a personal grant, and what to expect..

Hi! Im currently an undergrad student at University of Illinois at Chicago, pursuing a Bachelors in Science (premed). Ive been on the lookout for grants that might help me...but ive got no experience in this and i guess im just looking blindly. If
it helps, im planning on pursuing the physicians assistance program.
And am looking out for grants that might assist me through research and
training.. id like that hands on experience. Would appreciate it if any of you guys knew what you were doing, and if you could point me in the right direction...thanks.
